giving it bonus points for so clearly having directly inspired mickey 17 (boooooo. ho literally stole multiple key aspects of this movie which is cray 😭 im not even a ghibli munch like that but BRUCE .. ima need you to rethink those 4 stars). good for kids, too long for me, and pacifism in genuine fight for your life war makes me SICK. but it's a good lesson for kids ! i'll rewatch when i start making babies and lyk what i think.

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim 2024
i'll give it at least half of a full rating for being LOTR and better than the hobbit movies. glad i didn't pay to see it in theatres. not a complete waste of time but about what you'd expect for a LOTR project released in '24. most of the deaths were pretty good, the arcs were weak and predictable, dialogue was whatever, animation was fun, tried to hard for what it came up with. in other words, YAWN.
