The Perks of Being a Wallflower 2012
As far as doing a good job of capturing the original content this movie does a fantastic job, which isn't surprising given that the book's author directed it. Getting to hear the music during these scenes just feels right. I think that if it was like 30 minutes longer and had included some more bits about his relationship with his sister and family generally it would have made the ending more impactful. Secondhand embarrassment is strongggg, especially in the first half, but that remains true to the book so. Overall a good watch.

Twas good. It's not Parasite, not even close, but there are still themes of capitalist exploitation, greed, and more. Great performances, cute little monsters, and a solid ending. Felt different from other space colonization movies which is what I expected. Think it might grow on me after a second watch at a later date.
