2025 Oscars journey entry #14
When DreamWorks hits, it hits. The Wild Robot was one of those movies where everything about it works extremely well. It's funny, cute, emotional, and heartwarming. It reminds me a bit of -- and gives me the same feeling as -- Wall-E. The animation was a very interesting blend. DreamWorks Animation has been going through an artistic reinvention like Pixar, but I prefer the approach of the the former. The score was also surprisingly memorable. I hope it wins that category because it really was complimentary to everything going on.

2025 Oscars journey entry #13
Very Oscar bait.
Wasn't super enamored with it. I get the intrigue of a political drama dressed in holy garments. I appreciate the themes of it all, growing up Catholic and witnessing both sides of the argument in real time: do we go back to a more traditional, almost fearful direction or push forward into accepting all people in all its many forms? But it started to become very soapy after a while.Translated from by

It's weird putting my thoughts to this film...
it feels like nothing really happens, but so much happened
it feels so mundane, but its very exciting
it feels boring, but it's riveting
it feels very lonely and sad, but it's also comforting and content
it doesn't require your full attention, but it effortlessly draws you infunny how that works, being a passenger and all

Never thought I'd see Steven Seagal fighting a bald Nicholas Hoult because of a chicken wing...
And I thought I'd seen everything there was to see
