This is a film that calls back to the olden days of action films, a film that unapologetically feels like a shot of adrenaline. This modern re-telling of a classic Indian tale sometimes doesn’t feel as connected to the action sequences. There are parts which to me felt irrelevant in the grand scheme of the plot. But, it’s wicked amounts of fun either way. Dev Patel’s stoic character does well in letting the stunts and body language do the talking. Call him John Wick with a little bit more emotion.

Blade Runner 1982
In another classic from Ridley Scott, we’re proven once again that compelling visuals and stories of dystopia have existed long before technology advanced to the stage it is now. It’s sad to see the themes from films like this become more relevant to our society, but I’m grateful for what this film did to the Cyberpunk genre. Most expositions had a “show, not tell” that I really liked, and it made the lore feel rich. I would watch this again and again, especially the Final Cut.
