  The behind the scenes chaos is interesting (very curious to find out how much is actually true) but the tension of whether or not the show will air is kinda pointless since we all know it did. Also everyone is really mean to Jim Henson and his Muppets 😞

  Caught Covid, scrolled around HBO Max and decided to give this a long overdue shot. The culture shock humor doesn’t hold up, makes Bill Murray’s character look like a dick, and I’m not sure how I feel about the direction his and Scarlett Johansson’s characters friendship takes. But otherwise this film really captures the feeling of loneliness of being in a different place and longing for a connection to someone so well. The soundtrack is also fantastic, Sometimes and City Girl are going to be on repeat for a while. Give it a 4K remaster already.

  Killers of the Flower Moon 2023

  Martin Scorsese has made a lot of movies with bittersweet or depressing endings, as well as protagonists that range from controversial to unlikeable. This one takes the cake on both. Incredibly dark and impactful with superb acting and two of the most despicable characters I’ve ever seen on screen. Not my favorite of Scorsese’s films, but a damn good one nonetheless.
