Goodfellas/Casino/Gangs of NY/Wolf of Wall St in 1920s Oklahoma. Scorsese’s like the Foucault pigeon in this meme but about the mafia and he’s correct. A+ performances from all the actors but Lily Gladstone 360-dunked and Jesse Plemons was a class act as usual. I hope Leo's "Fuck a Duck!" was unscripted.

Breezy + comforting + charmingly aimless flick about Scottish lads with feathered hair and bell bottoms awkwardly figuring out how to court lasses. 'Twas a much more innocent time, even if it starts out with five squeaky-voiced, pimple-faced teens played by 27-year-old men peeping at a nurse undressing after her night shift. I needed subtitles because of the lovely accents. Ooh, what a stank face funky soundtrack. Some real taboo tension throughout (i.e. soccer coach and Dorothy, Miss Welch and the window-washer). Gregory's close relationship with lil' sis was 🥹 but also maybe a little 😬 especially in his mother's conspicuous absence.

No GoPro. No GPS. No Sirius XM. Just a former SF Zen Center student driving his VW bus along the infinity loop of SF’s Twin Peaks hills from dusk til dawn with only the gentle hum of the road as a score. Beautiful and meditative structural film from 1977. Does he get into a fender bender at one point and then go through the other car? Is Al driving a 👻 🚐 ??
