  Not as much a “coming out” as a coming into yourself” story, where shame and self hatred are slowly untangled by the purity of affection, meandering wonder, and bashful curiosity (also a love letter to the wisdom of grandparents & how they know just what to say). 

  The influence of Close is there too, and this film could be considered it’s sweeter little sister.
