Série deliciosa, uma das melhores adaptações recentes da obra de Agatha Christie. Leve, aconchegante, e ainda assim tensa do começo ao fim, a série respeita a obra original, fazendo apenas pequenas alterações pertinentes à linguagem. Trilha sonora excelente e caracterizações muito fiéis à época. Destaque para a atuação brilhante de Lucy Boynton, perfeita como Lady Frances Derwent.

Confesso que por mais que eu tenha me esforçado, tive e ainda tenho dificuldade para compreender o verdadeiro culto a esse filme. Sem dúvidas bem intencionado, me parece que Sganzerla cruzou a linha do filme intencionalmente difícil de se assistir, criando uma obra praticamente intragável, cuja narrativa é conduzida por locuções insuportáveis e demasiadamente exageradas (novamente, sei que essa foi a intenção). A edição, embora considerada revolucionária por muitos, me pareceu pouco técnica, fundada num experimentalismo que desconsidera importantes convenções narrativas.

The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes 1970
As a big fan of the character and the original stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, I really enjoyed this movie, although it's far from perfect. As a more intimate take on Sherlock Holmes, this clearly served as an inspiration for the BBC series. Those who read "A Scandal in Bohemia" will find Sherlock's realtionship with Gabrielle similar to the one he has with Irene Adler in the short story.
