  Relived my whole childhood watching this.
  It’s honestly really surprising just how much they were able to include in this movie from all the games. While it may not have been my favorite direction for a story, it was still a fun time seeing these characters on screen.

  Wow this was not the classic universal monster I was expecting.
  As a friend once put it, “more man than wolf,” but don’t let that take away from the film. This film has some pretty great scares, which are much more than simple jump scares. When the monster is on screen its presence is truly terrifying. The forest setting works really well, where it really makes the characters feel exposed and vulnerable, adding to the suspense.   Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh together? Count me in. 
  Overall, it’s a nice heartfelt movie with great performances from the two of them. The storyline is okay, but I really wish it went deeper. There’s many great moments both of them share in screen and you see how much they care about each other, but outside of that I feel it lacks elements to make the story richer. Some aspects did seem a bit random or sort of last minute but in the end, the ending still hits hard.
