Well the theatre laugh out loud quite a few times.

Less than sun of its parts.
I don’t know about Mexican culture, but the pitch for this family seemed like a collection of cliches.

The superhero pyrotechnics are pretty good but standard storyline.

What I find more unsavoury is that this kind and loving family, flip after the death of their father into people who feel free to kill others. Without any remorse or hesitation and often a fist pump.

Bizarre and sad.

As we slip into an decade of economic uncertainty I was drawn to rewatch this classic drama of the greed and hubris of mankind. 
Beautifully scripted and acted by an all star cast it simply explains the financial crash of 2008. How and why it happened, how the love of money coupled with poor government means we all ended up bailing out the crooked system.

Christian Bale is epic, as is Steve Carrell, Brad Pitt is superbly underplayed. Alongside to many others to mention.

It reminds me, just because something looks good doesn’t mean it is and always check what’s in the box :)

Half as good as the first movie but still entertaining, if a little overstretched. More okay than awesome.
