So many wonderful little details about the artist’s experiential process, and how magnified every emotion is in the face of crushing personal defeat. Very specifically when Divine Eye walked in a circle—it’s a strange and non-linear progression, but it’s somehow parallel with his personal development. Every character struggles with Hamlet’s “to be or not to be,” and they all find meaning in art and community. None of these are original ideas, but the honesty in the characterization of these very real people is so moving on its own.
