  This film was very important to the French New Wave due to it being one of the first and most popular in the film. The film had used multiple mechanics that i felt really connected the story overall and allowed it to be a cinematic masterpiece.   Maltese Falcon is by far one of the only films to show as many themes as John Huston did. Whether it was greed, Femineity, Authority, Ethics...Huston was able to capture all fo it.   This film was overall interesting to watch. I enjoyed the shot angles and cuts. Some being tight shots of the people or the flag blowing. Being the time period, it shows culturally what was going on. Being able to see that the film has dramatized true events about how the soldiers overthrow their captain of the ship is truly carried by the music of the film.
