A horror movie like no other I’ve watched. Deep psychological all about deception. Music was fantastic, practical effects were amazing for 1982. Location and setting was top. Only criticism, is because you are left to figure out who is in the thing, I was only invested in Mcgreedy because I was sure he wasn’t the thing. Other than that, very very good and interesting horror movie.

Once again, Frank Daramont takes a Stephen King book and makes a masterpiece. This film was so heartbreaking but heartwarming at the same time. I’m an easy cryer, but this film had me sobbing. A long film stretching 3 hours but it just flies by as you develop a relationship with all of the loveable characters from the film. It’s similar to The Shawshank Redemption where you really humanise and learn to sympathise with these death row inmates. Amazing music that makes those emotional moments tear shedding. Incredible film.

This film is one of my absolute favourite films of all time. And there is bias here because I absolutely love Star Wars. People who don’t really understand or like Star Wars will not care for what I say, but the people that get it, get it. This film was the glue that finally wrapped both original trilogy and the prequels together. Though now we have loads of Star Wars content that fills that gap at the time this movie…

Greatest. The only word to describe this film. Stephen King even agreed that it his favourite films ever made from his books, and it’s only a novella. The story in this Movie is so compelling. The development of the inmates throughout the years makes for likeable characters that we empathise with, and there all criminals. The music is exceptional. And the moments are some of the greatest in cinema history, that to this day after multiple rewatches will bring the same emotions as the first watch. Greatest film of all time.
