  I watched this movie at 10 pm at the movie theatre and there was no one there except for one little Asian kid. He loved it and so did I. 
  This is such a rich movie, the theme, the fighting sequences, the amazing animation. Truly a work of art from China.

  Great cinematography. Good editing. Amazing acting. Average storyline. 

  I need to know people’s opinions on whether it was necessary for this to be 3.5 hours long because personally I couldn’t not bear it all once again. Not very re-watchable

  The scenes were beautiful but the storyline was straight up depression and sadness with maybe one or two lines at most that provided a bit of comedic relief. I think if you’re not a pretentious cinephile you’d probably leave the theatre…

  God how can anyone dislike this beautiful animated film. I remember watching it when I was just 12 years old and thinking “wow, thank you to my Japanese teacher for sharing something with me that I’ll never forget.”
