There are a lot of people labelling Warfare as propaganda—but I honestly doubt those people have truly watched the film. At no point does it delve into the politics of the Iraq War or attempt to explain/justify the mission. This isn’t a film about geopolitical agendas or military triumph. It’s a deeply human story about young men thrown into an unimaginable situation—ill-prepared for the psychological toll of war and forever changed by a single day.
