Obviously it's nothing like the source material, but the attempts to match the source with the scenery are good. The problem is everything else. The movie wants to be taken seriously but it won't let you have a single serious moment. Score is mediocre at best, acting from the main characters is mediocre, but the CG is great. The writers don't know what is going on. With different leads and a different director this could've been great. Anytime someone wants to adapt Simon stalenhag, call Denis Villeneuve or Gareth Edwards. Disappointing.
