Ok. Wow.
Bringing a book as beloved and massive as Dune to the big screen as successfully as Denis Villeneuve has is nothing short of incredible.
Akin to the sun on Arrakis— the soundtrack, Paul riding the Maker and becoming Fremen— everything feels so heavy. It’s this consistent weight that beats you down throughout the whole movie.
One of my favorite movie-going experiences to date, and just like Austin Butler with his uncle, I will definitely be going in for seconds.
