holy shit what an amazing film
i had no expectations going into this. never heard anything about it before. my god that was one of the best films i have ever seen.
to start off, this film was amazingly shot. the lighting throughout this film was very well done as the warmth and colour reflected the vibe of the movie.
the plot kept me constantly intrigued, and i was surprised at the sheer amount of biblical references, as well as the ‘martyrdom’ of apparent main characters.
‘go watch this film’ is all i can say.
5 out of 5 stars.

a beautiful film.
this film really exemplifies the way in which society was like for the oppressed in ww2. it shows that everyone suffered under the nazi regime - not only the jewish populous. it has a wonderfully crafted narrative, with surprising and shocking developments throughout the story, and i’ll refrain from spoiling (as i highly recommend watching this film) but the central protagonists character development is so deep and rich.

if you’re going to make a fight club for kids, at least do it well (middle school: worst years of my life). this felt like such an unnecessary cash grab with an overwhelming amount of easily marketable characters that feels like a major blemish on john krasinski’s record and an embarrassment for ryan reynolds to have starred in - he didn’t need the bag enough for him to have taken this movie. the biggest disappointment is this this movie could have been good, but it is just not.
