Dune 2021
The mystery of life isn't a problem to solve, but a reality to experience. A process that cannot be understood by stopping it. We must move with the flow of the process. We must join it. We must flow with it.
It’s impossible for me to sit through Dune without feeling the sheer gravity of every single moment, each more intense and invigorating than the one before it. This will always be an all-timer for me, even now on my fourth go-around.
My road leads into the desert.

Dune: Part Two 2024
“FEAR THE MOMENT.”
I think the 2020’s are set to go down in film history as one of the best. Dune: Part 2 is the next addition to a coalition of incredible films that have come before it. I know when I saw this at the end of February I gave this a bit of a lower score, I revisited it tonight with my father, in Regal RPX, and it felt like I was watching a completely different movie. In a…

The Prestige 2006
One of those rare viewing experiences where I was 100% locked the entire time - which is considerably impressive when you factor in the part I was watching this on an iPad during a 5-hour bus ride, but that’s just Christopher Nolan’s movie magic for ya (pun intended). I hear a lot of people critique Nolan for not being the best writer, specifically for “overwriting” certain scenes, and I’d say that the Prestige is probably the biggest incidence of that…

The Electric State 2025
Hoooooly cheeks. If anyone ever tells you that if you suck at your job, you’ll get fired tell them they’re wrong. Because the Russo Brothers may be the worst directors working today and yet they’re making 2 Avengers movies in the next 2 years. The performances are awful, not sure why Millie Bobby Brown talks to her younger brother like they’re dating. The entire movie has that horrifically bland Netflix look to it and by that I mean the cinematography is…

Dune: Part Two 2024
I struggle to understand what The Academy required from Denis Villeneuve for this movie to be “good enough.” The fact that this was not the overwhelming Best Picture winner that Oppenheimer was the year before is still shocking and frankly offensive to all involved. Anora remains on my watchlist (since yk, you can’t fucking watch it anywhere) but as great of a film as I hear that is, I sincerely doubt it will top Dune: Part Two.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania 2023
Best decision I could have made regarding this movie was going in with low expectations. I don’t think it’s nearly as bad as everyone’s been saying, but I do agree that as an individual film and a conclusion to the Ant-Man trilogy, this installment is severely out of place and falls extremely short in numerous categories (*cough THE DIALOGUE! *cough)
However, the post credit scenes and everything about Jonathan Major’s Kang tie this in with the MCU in a way that brought a massive, MASSIVE smile to my face. I’m very excited to see where the story goes.
