I actually really enjoyed this film. Ok maybe enjoyed isn’t the right word because, ya know, it’s not a light movie, but! I really appreciated it.
The pacing was excellent. The twist was insane. The acting??? Come on someone give Jake his Oscar. It wasn’t an earth-shattering movie, but it was very tight, and I like that. I felt that I came to understand the tempestuous nature of the character before the huge reveal, so that made it quite convincing. Good film overall!!

This movie tested my patience in a great way. It heavily relies on the audience being focused on the story in the exact moment that it is told. In the frame in which it’s told. In the setting where it’s told. It made me appreciate the little things in life and the way they make up our fleeting little existence. Also, the scenery is darling. I loved seeing the streets of Paris from the 1960s. Overall, a very intimate and compelling portrait of an imperfect woman coming to terms with her mortality, like each of us.
