The logic makes close to zero sense in this film, but I’d be lying if I said a good chunk of it wasn’t at least a little interesting. Definitely predictable and cookie-cutter, has all of the typical tropes of a 2000s thriller, but the middle was kind of attention-grabbing without being super gimmicky. Essentially just an easy watch that isn’t offensively bad and has some decent moments while being mediocre overall.

Black Swan 2010
This gets compared to Whiplash all the time, and for good reason, but I enjoyed that film a decent amount more than this one. Fantastic performances and score, but I think it went a bit too off the rails towards the end. Definitely messes with the viewer, making it hard to tell what’s real, and it creates this mysterious, kind of deranged vibe that you can get lost in. Certainly a good film, though it didn’t tie up the loose ends as well as I hoped or thought it would.
