Punch-Drunk Love 2002
In the first few minutes, I thought this would be a confusing, abstract, anxiety-inducing movie. But then things started happening, and I started getting invested. And then things kept happening, and I got SUPER invested. By the end, I was rooting for Barry so hard I could've died.
It's not confusing, and the abstract scenes are brief and beautiful. While it is very anxiety-inducing, it is also very joy-inducing, laugh-inducing, and warm heart-inducing (heartwarming). It's also a little too relatable at times. We're all somewhere on the spectrum.
