Decent follow up to unexpected journey the story was a bit more engaging and there’s some cool action scenes including the battle between bilbo and Smaug with such an epic ending where the heroes lose but I still think the pacing of this film is similar to the first one and there were still things that went on for too long as well but there were still lots of moments to shine I think it’s a little better than unexpected journey tho.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey 2012
Haven’t seen the lord of the rings movies in a while but this is my first go to for the hobbit movies and I will say this one does well as a prequel to the films but it has very slow first hour and then pretty well paced second hour and a fast final 40 minutes.
