    Shivers

    ★★★★

A parasite gets lose in an high rise apartment complex and it turns all the residents into mindless, sex-craved zombies.

Shivers is one of those great first efforts from a soon-to-be famous filmmaker. In this case, it's David Cronenberg who, already, was curious about the human body and how it can mutate. Once seen, Silent Night Deadly Night Part 2 is hard to forget.

Featuring one of the craziest, most intense performances ever captured on film thanks to Eric Freeman (who plays the lead role…

    Secret Santa

    ★★★★½

Secret Santa might not have the best production values and it might wear its limited budget on its sleeve, but it has something a lot of similar films don't have - a damn good script and actors who know what they're doing.

A young woman returns home with her boyfriend for Christmas and gives him a warning - her family is nuts. Sure enough, we all begin to realize just how awful and unsupportive they are. Before the meal is…
