Only the River Flows 2023
Although I really wanted to like it—it’s beautifully shot, and the grainy 16mm perfectly captures that gritty ’90s atmosphere—I found myself feeling a bit underwhelmed towards the final part of the film
It reminded me a lot of Cure (1997), which was shot in the ’90s and shares a similarly eerie undertone. However, unlike Cure, this film didn’t quite succeed in pulling me in 100%
Loved this watch though and will definitely watch it again in the future!
