  Very visually pleasing. Cynthia Erivo carries this movie, Ariana had the look but her voice didn't quite fit. I'm clearly not the only one who thought so cos some bits are turned down quieter than the supporting singers.
  Visual effects were really nice, combination of modern practical effects and some very intentional head nods to the old Oz sets.
  Is anyone else sick of Goldblum playing every eccentric ruler/rich guy lately?

  I'm really not sure what this was trying to achieve. Some great performances, a boring story, lots of eye candy but so tonally inconsistent it feels like a chocolate sampler pack (with those awesome crunchy praline ones already missing). It went way too long and felt like it wasn't quite sure how to end, but this may have been influenced by the fact I needed to pee real bad.
