I mourn and I weep at the potential Elvis had. It is devastating to see what a great script and good director can pull out of this novice actor. Ugh! I am deep in the shitty Elvis movie pipeline and revisiting this film just reinforces how negligent his team was. Presley had so much potential. This movie is actually entertaining and doesn't follow the dreaded "Elvis movie" formula.

Side note: as an Elvis stan, this is the ultimate thirst watch.…

    Liiiisten,

We need to stop hating on cheesy action movies!!!
This was just what I needed on a chill Friday night.
It was entertaining, the child actor didn't suck, and Angelina Jolie was there for me to gawk at as she gets covered in more dirt and blood in every scene. She's wearing an awful wig, and her eye makeup remains smoldering and sexy while running in the woods. It's laughable, but I ate it up.

If you want a movie that will keep those of you with short attention spans off your phone for an hour and a half, this it.

Seeing celebrities that were around my age pass away, just makes me realize my own mortality and it's not a fun time.

This movie and Matilda raised me as a kid. I too used to journal in a notebook, want to be a writer, and made observations about people that weren't always very nice. This movie spoke to me in many ways. Also, Rosie O'Donnell SHINES as Ms. Golly. What a great character, oh my gosh.

Thank you Michelle Trachtenburg for your contribution to some great childhood memories. R.I.P.

Mason Gooding looked too damn good covered in blood. Let's make him the next Scream King please!

The ending prevented this movie from being a perfect slasher for me. It was a bit too cheesy for my liking, even though the tone of this film had a comedic style to it. It just didn't really stick the landing when it came to character motivation.
However, this slasher delivered with likeable characters, great gore, fun jump scares, and a few chuckles here and there with the comedy.
I would ABSOLUTELY rewatch it again.
As a Scream fan, this movie scratched that itch.
