When I realized this story's hidden secrets I saw how beautiful it's darkness was -
I waited for something to happen. But nothing really ever does. Nothing was openly expressed. I thought I'd get answers. We know that the father is gone but we aren't sure why or how. At the end I thought "that's it?" to find that it was enough, I was in fact satisfied.
