Poor Things 2023
One of the best performances by Emma Stone. She is definitely going to be nominated for an Oscar for this role. The movie is quite captivating since we can easily connect to the feelings of the main character. The transition from a greyscale scenario to a RGB colour space, the gradual improvement in Bella’s locomotion and speech articulation, the progression of the character into being completely naive from being completely aware of the world, completely translates how a human being adapts to the environment it’s settled in, which explains why it’s so easy to connect with her!

Nocturnal Animals 2016
A very captivating movie since the beginning. Amy Adams never disappoints as usual. The depiction of Edward’s vision embodied by Tony Hastings was very well achieved. The way he feels powerless in avoiding the crumbling of his relationship and how violent and vivid was the suffering it brought him was so well developed. However, I am not sure if I am convinced with the existence of a parallelism between Susan’s absorption and the killing of the daughter they could have had together. Nevertheless, it was a good movie.
