    I think it's fair to say I am not a fan of films about Samurais.

    I feel like this type of film objectifies women, and their role in the film is just the object of desire, and the men treat them with no respect.

    I think it's also fair to say I have trouble identifying with these films because the style of acting is very stoic. I film the characters emote differently than what I am used to.

    Definitely interesting to watch some of these films for reference, but not my first genre.

    Some great visuals in this film.
    At first I was really taken by the script, and ambiance and the performances. As the movie went along I lost a bit of interest. I feel like the movie dragged on, and could have been shorter.
    Beautiful colouring, and I loved all the exteriors in the film.
    The story line about the nun at the end felt a little wacky and abstract, but it was neat nonetheless.

    I think I was hoping/expecting to like this more than I did. It was definitely enjoyable, but I think what made this not stellar is that Bong Joon-Ho's sci-fi films are sometimes hard to stomach.
    I think he does really well at showing the negative aspects of people who are in political power. The line "Sauce is the true litmus test of civilization" made me laugh, but I also found it creepy as hell.
