  I clocked John Mulaney from a mile away, but Florence Pugh? That's Lola who sings "Messy." I knew the villains before I came into this but I am happily surprised and love all the VAs and dialogue of this movie. Anyways this hits well at 3am PST while I am in Tokyo with my mom :)

  There’s nothing like a long distance relationship, and you recognize the same beat by beat of it in Past Lives (Skype noises, time differences, looking up flights, and the excitement of it all). I still think about my first love and now I wonder what it would be like to visit him and his wife in Minneapolis. Everything has unfolded as it should . But Past Lives captures the emptiness, the what if. Would you be happier elsewhere? That is the real gamble of life. I really appreciate how candid Hae Sung was, how he wore his heart on his sleeve. What a beautiful film.
