Clever black comedic look at Italian patriarchy, particularly around marriage culture. Apparently based on a book about honor killings. Mastroianni is incredibly sharp: from his general loafiness to his facial tic to fantasizing about his wife’s demise. Especially loved the La Dolce Vita references.

Funny, nostalgic, ridiculous cameos, chef’s kiss to Paul Williams for the music. A gem of a film.
Who doesn’t love the Muppets?
Watched for criterion challenge (best soundtracks). Music was great - nice use of songs in clubs, etc, in addition to the pieces paired with the druggy hallucinationatory scenes. Ewan McGregor and Jonny Lee Miller stood out.
Didn’t see this in 96 when it came out so the shock of the theme and some of the scenes wasn’t as visceral as it would have been. With the exception of the baby and of course the toilet scene (!)
