Extraordinary! I love the feeling of unexpectedly falling in love with a film. If you love cooking, you'll get to watch people cooking late-19th-century French cuisine throughout most of the runtime. Every relationship is beautifully conveyed through food.

Haven't seen this in 25-30 years and it still holds up beautifully. Some of the effects are obviously dated but have a great retro charm.
