The Painted Veil 2006
I think this is one of the most beautiful movies I’ve ever watched. It made me cry A LOT, and it’s not usual of me to do so while watching a movie. Edward Norton’s acting was impeccable (although I may be biased, he’s my favourite actor).
Watching this reminded me that not all stories need to make you laugh to be beautiful, to be appreciated. The director did a great job: the scenes, settings and landscapes are astounding and immersive.
