The Great Gatsby 2013
This was the first movie morning of the year and it really set the tone and some high expectations. Somehow I loved watching every second of these wholly unlikeable characters' interactions. The love triangle/square really got the emotions flowing. On top of that, the scenery, sets, and cinematography are absolutely beautiful. Oh and I love Long Island.

Divergent 2014
Divergent is literally most upsetting book to movie adaptation of all time. So much of the nuance from a very un-nuanced story is just absolutely gone. There is literally no plot at all, things just happen. What is that about? The parents dying really got me because it was just stupid and unneccesary. That being said I still gave this movie two stars and those are just for Theo James. Love him so much he carried this movie for real.

The Hunger Games 2012
This movie was just what we needed on this Saturday morning. No YA dystopian stories will ever be able to do it like The Hunger Games does. Team Gale / Team Peeta does lead to a heated debate but we can all unite under hating Prim. Such a stellar piece of cultural history
