I could barely understand any of Timmy's lines but at the same time I knew EXACTLY what he was saying. Bob Dylan's the coolest diva in showbiz! BRAVA!

It's not an exaggeration to say this movie changes the way I see the world. That's the magic and power of studio ghibli. It's unmatched. This movie is devastating, and it's applicable literally and as an allegory for many oppressed peoples throughout history. You get so angry and then literally feel foolish that you didn't immediately connect that the humans ARE you. It's US. Which like duhh, but you get so wrapped up in the raccoon world! If everyone in the country watched this movie it would single handedly fix the empathy and connection crisis in our culture.
