Hilarious and heartbreaking. You dream of some version of the middle being the end, but the nightmare of the last scene (or worse) lingers. I had the privilege of seeing Anora at an advance screening for dancers and sw. While I am so grateful and proud to have experienced this film in a theater full of people who could truly relate- what lay underneath the celebration, laughter and heel clacking, shook me to my core. I really appreciated the effort put into creating authentic representation of str*ppers and s*x workers (including actually casting them)- I hope it raises the bar for the entire industry.
