well this has ignored most of the subtleties in donna tartt’s narrative and the editing was just bad but at least nicole kidman was great

the new ocean's eight, but better. simultaneously a crowd-pleaser, a social critique and a female heist movie. the plot's thrilling but a bit messy in terms of unnecessary rather explanatory scenes and lack of attention to michelle rodriguez's character in comparison to the others. still, i'm convinced viola davis and her westie could rule the world.
