  this holds up big time,, and the colored lighting is dope as heck!! Theres this scene near the beginning with a giant hand shadow and red lighting that blew my socks of,, literally,, i can’t find my socks now.
   I just hate the “dorky boy and his goofy friend fighting over pretty girl (kid romance)” trope thats forced into every fun movie from this era. Why can’t kids just be kids? Why do kids need barely developed love interests?

  This movie invented the color teal, this movie single-handedly made Weezer’s Island in the sun a smash hit, this movie is the sole reason that in 2007 I looked the Great Clip’s hairdresser dead in the eyes and told her to give me side bangs.

  Am I blinded by nostalgia?? WHO CARES. I used to watch this entire movie and IMMEDIATELY press play again when the credits ended,, and I almost did that AGAIN tonight at 3 am. I can’t believe cinema peaked in 2006.
