This shit fucked me up for a good hour..
This was a good movie. Although I was entertained throughout it, it was hard to follow at times. It was difficult to keep up with the names of each planet/kingdom and the way they spoke was kind of hard to follow as well. I was just hoping I would catch on as the movie continued. I like the mystery of not knowing everything about everything- it feels like we’re learning alongside Paul. I would’ve given it a 3.5 if it was easier to follow. Overall, I’m looking forward to Dune Part Two.

This film had so much emotion to it and the overall message of the film was very moving. I felt the emotions throughout it - happiness, silliness, sadness, grieving, healing. Although this is a musical, there were way too many songs - a lot of them unnecessary and not catchy or simply odd. I felt like a lot of the songs could’ve been spoken dialogue instead. I also felt like Evan’s and Zoe’s relationship had no substance and came out…
