watching this and portrait of a lady on fire in the same week is not for the weak.
but seriously, i watched this movie around when it came out, but in a disjointed careless way. Having watched it again feels like watching it for the first time. But man did this make me feel. I haven’t watched a movie and cried, smiled, laughed, and felt so anxious as this one. It beautifully and tragically captures the innocence of infatuation, but also the severity of it.
I want to crawl inside this movie and live in it forever.
