This movie was like pouring a glass of cool water on my brain. Super small majority female cast, no weirdness or major conflict, just a straightforward tense slow burn love story. Love an artist-muse dynamic. Dialogue is short and to the point but the actors hold so much emotion in each word and interaction. everything is super normal abt this film except that it’s gay, there’s no hidden message or concept that’s hard to grasp. Watch this movie when you don’t know what to do with life. When you’re stuck or need clarity. It’s so simple and so human but explains so much without any deep, philosophical premise.

It reminded me to find peace in the unsure, and reminded me of family. The static shots made me forget it was a movie, rather a pivotal slice of the characters’ lives.

Scariest movie I’ve ever seen.. the guy with the mustache in the second half of the movie gave a level of clarity and perspective I was surprised that not all of the gangsters had. The rest of them seemed in survival mode with no way of coping, and so their guilt haunted them. Mustache guy did the same terrible things but had little guilt. He convinced himself he was right through a moral gray area that the guilty couldn’t understand.
