This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
pros:
- world building is great
- charas feels fleshed out
- snapes entrance is 10/10
- cute owls
cons:
- slytherin should've at least tied with gryffindor. dumby was showing a bit of bias there
- the quidditch rules are stupid, catching a golden ball stops the game??
- run time is a bit long, granted theres a bunch of stuff they cut from the book so i guess they're maximizing the time they have. still felt too long
a movie that was ahead of its time. a movie, who's goofy themes didn't undermine the raw emotion you feel for the characters. a movie who was unapologetically stylish.
there is no movie like this (if you discount something like a full animated movie like spiderverse), it's a unique experience.
