Blood Diamond 2006
it could have been such a richer film without all the hollywood shenaningans. It did not need romance (much less that deep and central), it did not need a martyr and it could have portrayed post colonialism and neoimperialism better.
All-in-all quite entertaining if you take it as a hollywood product (rather than the consumerism critique it tries to be) while you hum some The Lord of the Rings soundtrack gems as the two pals travel them fields
