  as a polish girl, watching this movie was extremely hurtful. i’ve wanted to watch this movie for a long time now. but i was aware that it will be a torture for me.
  i really like studying about ww2, especially from my country’s perspective. but it’s always making me so sad. knowing how many innocent people died, how many families were separated, how warsaw was completely destroyed in most of the areas.
  władysław szpilman’s history broke me into tears several times. the fact he survived shows that there was good in people’s hearts, even in evil times.
