May not be the world's most unique story, sure, but unlike most biopics it feels personal in a way that's more compelling and less gawking. Despite its producer, there's enough self-critical content to keep it from feeling overly censored.

The leading monkey belies how sincere the film is, but it's really no more distracting than an actor who is recognizably different with a different voice.

Of course it's also a glossy shiny music and dance movie. I definitely don't think this combination of factors will work for everybody, but if you're open minded I can whole heartedly recommend a watch.

Classic teen horror flick a la The Faculty with modern twists and references. I had a good time.

Living for Bill Nighy in this role. He's completely committed. Even in scenes where he's silent, his face says it all. Michael Sheen also surprisingly ripped. Everything is blue and grey as usual, and I still can't get over the level of continuity in the series that it could totally get away with not having.
