  Pretty decent on rewatch! Some shaky performances, effects, and esp mid 2000s costuming cant really contain the ambition of this concept. Loved this shit in jr high so im glad it holds up a bit

  A true horror thriller for the ages. A slur could be around any corner... or even... a good bit? Oh wait no its a setup for a joke where the punchline is "we're freakin dudes" or "haha thats gay". But, not all the time?

  And the ending. True existential horror as Once in a Lifetime by the Talking Heads ironically underscores the unmooring in reality experienced by the characters. This is not their beautiful house... this is not their beautiful…

  Heartwarming and relatable chemistry between leads, a very cool callback to a specific era of indie film around the 2010s. Packs a punch during its final act, but leaves a bit to be desired in how it concludes in both a narrative and thematic sense. The definition of a potential-filled debut. Still, funny, deep enough, painfully honest, and satisfying in the right ways, with great performances to boot.
