  it‘s not just about the abandonment of their mother and akira deteriorating under the preassure of becoming the caretaker for his siblings over night. it‘s about everyone that turned a blind eye as well. shop owners, neighbors, generally the people around them. everyone that decided not to ask questions or look a little closer. at it‘s core, it‘s about how looking away isn‘t an option.

  i remember discovering the album breath years ago and then desperately googling why lily chou chou only ever released one album.

  i finally got myself to watch the movie and i can‘t put this album down again, i will love salyu‘s voice forever. for the movie, i just somehow can‘t find the words to describe it, or how it made me feel. i would watch it everyday, if i could.

  i would recommend this to anyone who also grew up in a stupid tiny town where you can do nothing but kick rocks and get high.
