this movie. THIS MOVIE. this is the best movie adaptation of a musical i have EVER seen. it perfectly captures the essence of a stage show by MAKING THE MUSICAL NUMBERS INTO STAGE NUMBERS. and it makes perfect sense!! roxie wants to be a performer, so she imagines herself and all the other characters as performers, and it’s amazing. the singing? fantastic. the acting? wonderful. the costuming, directing, and staging? incredible. i will rave about this movie for the rest of my life, and could go on a rant for hours about its perfect use of film as a medium. agh!! i love it so much

MY FAVOURITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME. anybody that doesnt like this movie doesnt understand whimsy and should read the books. it has homosexuals in space, it has heterosexual divorce, and it has terrible mid-80s cgi, what more could you possibly want from a sequel to 2001 a space odyssey. if anybody knows how to hook me up with a copy on disk i’ll pay you so much money for it. in return i’ll hook you up with the book which is absolutely incredible. a 10/10 film, fun and heartwrenching and really gay
