This movie IS about friendship!
I listened to Caleb’s episode with Kiernan and Nico where they talked about the movie. Didn’t really know what to expect but now that I’ve seen it, I think they contextualized it pretty well.
All the elements of a rom-com were there. Loved wide shots, I thought the running + final breakup scenes set to the stereotypical rom-com track were done well, lighting and coloring was nicely done as well.

This was a fun watch, funny - someone called it a mix of ‘Romy and Michele’ and ‘Friday’ and I have to agree. There was a real 2000s quality to the high jinks. Keke and SZA were definitely a surprise (More so SZA since this is her first role) they had so much chemistry and played off of each other well.
